Jordan has graduated the first cohort of an entrepreneurship program designed for military personnel with disabilities and their families, following a nine-month training period.

The program was organised through a partnership between the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Military Personnel, AMIDEAST-Jordan and Boeing, with support from Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Limited (Joramco) and other private-sector partners.

It included 14 participants from Amman, Zarqa, Irbid and Ajloun. The programme covered psychosocial support, business formation and management, digital skills, digital marketing and the use of social media to reach customers and markets.

Participants also connected with Jordanian companies, entrepreneurs and startups for practical guidance, business-model development and insights into financing and market access.

Joramco provided specialised business-management coaching and laptops, while also supporting practical aspects of developing the participants’ projects, according to the announcement.

The programme’s organisers said the initiative aims to strengthen the economic independence of military personnel with disabilities and their families by helping them turn ideas into viable projects. The programme is expected to continue in 2027 with a new cohort.
