Cairo to Host Global Entrepreneurship Festival with 10,000 Participants

Cairo will host the third edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival from November 6 to 8, bringing together more than 10,000 entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders and innovators from over 70 countries.

The festival will take place at the JW Marriott Cairo under the theme “The World We Help Create,” with more than 60 international speakers, 200 investors and 100 exhibitors. It is being held in Egypt for the first time after previous editions in Nigeria and Ghana, under the patronage of the prime minister.

Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote, founder and chairman of the Dangote Group, is among the headline speakers. Other announced participants include heart surgeon Sir Magdi Yacoub, former Blockbuster CEO Jim Keyes, Ghanaian businessman Sir Sam Jonah and former African Union Commission chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

The three-day program will feature 12 main activities, including a global leadership forum, an entrepreneurship awards ceremony, exhibitions, networking sessions, a deal room and a startup pitching program. According to the announcement, the deal room aims to facilitate partnerships and transactions worth more than $80M, while selected startups could access up to $35K in funding.

Topics will include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, investment, sustainability, healthcare, agriculture and the creative economy.
