Bybit Outlines Expansion Beyond Crypto With Stocks, Payments and AI

The crypto exchange is broadening its financial platform with US stock trading, tokenized stock products, payment services and AI-powered tools.

Bybit has outlined its strategy to expand beyond cryptocurrency into a broader financial platform spanning traditional markets, payments and artificial intelligence.

The updates were announced by co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou during the company’s latest Keynote with Ben session, titled “Make Your Move,” held on October 14, 2026, in Dubai.

US Stock Trading Goes Live as Tokenized Stocks Approach

On October 12, Bybit launched stock trading for eligible users, providing access to more than 1,000 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Users can trade with USDC, access fractional shares and trade during US pre-market, regular and after-hours sessions, with availability across 24 hours on weekdays.

The company is also developing mStocks in collaboration with Mantle, targeting a November launch. The product is designed to be backed one-to-one by real stocks, with plans for round-the-clock conversion between eligible stocks and mStocks, as well as decentralised exchange trading through liquidity pools on Mantle.

Bybit also highlighted IPO Express, launched in June, which provides eligible users with access to selected initial public offering opportunities at offering prices through tokenized representations of underlying securities. The service launched with SpaceX.

According to the company, its traditional finance offering now covers more than 600 products across equities, ETFs, indices, commodities and foreign exchange. Bybit also reported that its traditional finance perpetual products have recorded more than $180 billion in trading volume.

Payments Expand Beyond Trading

Bybit is also extending its services into everyday payments through Bybit Pay and Bybit Card, which support crypto and fiat transfers, merchant payments and spending.

The company said its payment services connect users with more than 5,000 merchants across over 15 countries and support transfers to bank accounts and e-wallets, as well as QR payments. Bybit has issued more than four million cards, according to the announcement.

Security, Regulatory Approvals and AI

Bybit said it intercepted more than 30,000 suspicious withdrawal requests during the first half of 2026, protecting users from more than $700 million in potential losses.

The company also reported securing five new licences and regulatory approvals across the European Union, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, South Africa and El Salvador during 2026.

In September, Bybit launched Bybit AI, a conversational assistant designed to support trading, account management and customer service, with further development planned across its financial services.

“Bybit is all about giving you the speed and scale you need when you Make Your Move,” said Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit. He added that the company had brought trading, investing, payments and AI together while continuing to add markets and services.

Building a Broader Financial Platform

The latest developments reflect Bybit’s effort to evolve from a cryptocurrency exchange into a platform combining digital assets, stocks, derivatives, commodities, foreign exchange, selected pre-IPO opportunities, payments and AI-powered services.

The company says its next phase will focus on connecting these services within a single platform while expanding market access and the technology infrastructure supporting them.
