Menoufia University is working with Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency to help turn student and researcher creativity into viable businesses, according to an announcement made during the university’s participation in Heritage 2026.
University President Ahmed Farag El-Kassas visited the university’s booth, which showcased products including mother-of-pearl crafts, handmade carpets, natural silk, textiles and kilims. The works were produced by university-affiliated talent and drew strong interest from visitors, the university said.
The university and the agency are coordinating on entrepreneurship programs that will provide students and graduates with training and advisory support. The goal is to promote self-employment and prepare young people to launch and manage their own businesses.
El-Kassas said the participation goes beyond displaying artistic work. Through cooperation with the agency, the university aims to develop promising creative ideas into investment projects with economic value and long-term viability.
He also praised the agency’s role in supporting entrepreneurship and its organisation of the exhibition, highlighting cooperation between academic and development institutions as a key part of Egypt’s development efforts.
