Deloitte plans to invest an additional $40 million in its Cairo Innovation Hub over the next 12 to 18 months, completing a $110 million investment plan. The hub has deployed $70 million so far, according to the company.
The funding will support the hub’s technology capabilities and increase Egyptian teams’ participation in international digital transformation projects. The Cairo operation provides technology services to clients in 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while also supporting other innovation centers in Deloitte’s global network.
Its work focuses on artificial intelligence and data, cloud computing and DevOps, and cybersecurity and digital trust. The hub also uses Google Cloud’s AI Experience Center in Cairo to explore applications and develop client solutions using technologies including Gemini and Vertex AI.
Hani Girgis, CEO and managing partner of Deloitte Innovation Hub Egypt, said the remaining $40 million is expected to be deployed over the next 12 to 18 months.
The hub is also focused on developing specialized Egyptian technical talent by giving local professionals practical experience through international projects. The planned investment is expected to strengthen these capabilities as Deloitte works toward completing its investment plan.
