Beni Suef University in Egypt has launched “Ask an Entrepreneur,” an initiative designed to connect academic learning with the practical realities of building startups.
Organized by the university’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Office, the program aims to help students, researchers and faculty members develop ideas into viable projects with growth potential, according to the announcement.
The first session is scheduled for October 29 and will feature Egyptian entrepreneur Mahmoud El Khasht, a fifth-year medical student at Beni Suef University and founder and CEO of a digital health startup. The company is developing an integrated digital infrastructure for healthcare.
The session will cover the startup’s founding journey, the process of turning ideas into businesses, challenges in reaching customers and investors, and the role of technology in improving healthcare services and addressing social problems.
University officials said the initiative will give participants direct access to entrepreneurs, allowing them to ask questions and learn from real-world experiences in launching and developing companies. The program is supervised by the university’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Office and the Center for University Performance Development.
