Falcon Tank, the closing event of the second edition of the Raaida Academy, highlighted the role of targeted initiatives in helping women entrepreneurs develop innovative ideas into sustainable businesses.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, the programme brought participants together with investors through an interactive platform designed to strengthen women’s contribution to the emirate’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Basel Qarqish, CEO of Publicis Groupe, said the Raaida programme provides important support to the UAE’s business sector. He added that private-sector participation for a second consecutive year reflects a commitment to creating positive social impact and helping women entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful ventures.
Alia Al Balushi said the programme focuses on marketing and brand-building skills. Ten women entrepreneurs reached the final stage of Falcon Tank, demonstrating what she described as their ambition and commitment.
Joyce Hallaq, CEO of Spark Foundry ME, said work to refine the participants’ ideas began about a month before the final event to prepare them to present their projects. She added that continued support and guidance would be provided as they build innovative businesses aligned with the needs of the labour market.
