Student and alumni entrepreneurs from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) showcased their ventures during a two-day Entrepreneurship Week program organised by the university’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Held in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the event featured an exhibition spread across seven areas, alongside discussions on founders’ experiences and startup journeys.
The program highlighted ventures at different stages of development, including businesses launched by students during their studies and others founded after graduation. Sessions covered entrepreneurship across creative industries, media and marketing, technology platforms, digital solutions, luxury brands and customer experience.
The second day also included knowledge-sharing sessions on culture and heritage, design and the built environment, and the path from an initial idea to acquiring first customers. The Ministry of Economy and Tourism led a session on intellectual property.
Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), AUS’s Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, the School of Business and the university’s Entrepreneurship Club supported the initiative. According to the announcement, the wider higher education entrepreneurship week aims to help students and graduates turn ideas into ventures with lasting economic and social impact.
