Context Labs has received a strategic investment from Abu Dhabi-based investment and incubation platform 22/x, alongside a long-term agreement to establish its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership will support Context Labs’ expansion across the GCC and wider MENA region. It will include the regional deployment of the company’s AI data infrastructure, including its Context Labs AI Distillery platform for sovereign AI, as well as the development of sector-specific applications for energy, utilities and critical infrastructure.
According to the announcement, 22/x will work with Context Labs to integrate its solutions into regional assets and ecosystems, drawing on its relationships across computing, data and distribution channels aligned with the region’s sovereignty priorities.
Context Labs provides infrastructure designed to consolidate fragmented operational, engineering and enterprise data, verify it through cryptographic technologies and maintain a traceable record of data provenance. The company said its platform enables organisations to run AI models and context-aware agents within their own data centres using verified data.
Dan Harple, founder, chairman and CEO of Context Labs, said the partnership would help regional companies retain control of their intellectual property and AI systems while demonstrating data integrity to partners, regulators and markets.
22/x was founded by the Al Nowais family and focuses on AI applications and critical infrastructure.
