Alexandria University has concluded the first training bootcamp for the Rally Egypt Entrepreneurship Community, bringing together students and young people from across the university, as well as participants from outside it.
Held over five days and hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture, the bootcamp featured training sessions and workshops on developing startup ideas, analysing markets and competitors, building business models, protecting intellectual property and presenting projects to judging panels.
According to the university, the programme was designed to help participants turn innovative ideas into viable projects with growth potential. The initiative forms part of the university’s efforts to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.
The closing activities included recognition for several participants and speakers by Afaf Al-Oufi, the university’s vice president for community service and environmental development. Khaled Amin, who leads the university rally at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s Entrepreneurship Centre, also took part.
The university said the collaboration highlights the role of partnerships between academic institutions and entrepreneurship centres in supporting innovation and creating new opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
