Thara, Ajman’s investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem, is targeting at least AED700 million in cumulative economic value and 3,135 direct jobs over the next five years, according to the announcement.

The initiative also aims to help 100 companies establish, relocate or expand in Ajman, prepare more than 220 companies for investment and support startups in raising AED69 million in external funding. It plans to support 600 startups through Thara X, invest directly in 71 companies and help create at least one unicorn in the emirate.

The targets were outlined during the first Thara Connect forum, held alongside the launch of Thara’s entrepreneurship group under the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event brought together investors, entrepreneurs, government representatives and business leaders to discuss funding, market access and startup growth.

Thara said its six companies provide workspace, operational services, incubation and acceleration programmes, as well as access to investors and strategic partners. Its support areas include human resources, customer services, marketing and sales, procurement, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, with a focus on women, Emirati talent and people of determination.

The forum included investor discussions, workshops, a startup exhibition and meetings aimed at building partnerships between founders and capital providers.
