Saudi Aramco has acquired a 49% stake in HUMAIN, the artificial intelligence company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), in a deal valued at approximately SAR 9.9 billion ($2.6B).

The transaction, completed on November 1, 2026, includes Aramco’s cash contribution for 2026 as well as the transfer of AI, computing and digital technology assets. PIF will retain majority ownership with a 51% stake.

HUMAIN plans to deploy 6 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2034 to serve growing regional and international demand for computing. Launched in May 2025, the company is building across data centers, high-performance computing and cloud platforms, advanced AI models, and industry-specific solutions.

Its portfolio includes ALLaM, a multimodal Arabic large language model. The company aims to cover the full AI stack, from infrastructure and cloud services to models and applications.

Aramco expects to use HUMAIN’s infrastructure and solutions across its industrial operations. Both shareholders will contribute AI assets, capabilities and talent as part of the partnership, which aligns with PIF’s 2026-2030 strategy to deepen links across economic sectors and expand opportunities for Saudi companies.
