Athar Accelerator has completed a ClimAccelerator kick-off bootcamp in Port Said, bringing together 22 early-growth-stage startups and SMEs developing climate-focused solutions.
The Egypt-based programme connected participating founders with 15 mentors and industry experts, who provided guidance on fundraising, customer acquisition, operations, milestone planning and impact assessment.
Five startups will be selected to continue into the full acceleration programme and receive equity-free grants of €15,000 each. The selected companies will also receive tailored workshops, intensive mentoring, and strategic and technical support from programme partners.
ClimAccelerator is part of ESO Climate Innovate Egypt, a joint initiative by Climate KIC and the Private Sector Innovation Project (PSI II), which supports Egypt’s transition to a competitive green economy. The programme is supported by the Embassy of Finland in Cairo and Schneider Electric.
