The Embassy of Bahrain in Oman has hosted an entrepreneurship and international expansion forum in Salalah, bringing together officials, private-sector representatives and entrepreneurs from both countries.
Held under the theme “Bahrain’s Experience as a Model” and focused on helping Omani entrepreneurs take their products to global markets, the forum was organised in coordination with Oman’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) and the Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association. Bahrain Exports also took part.
According to the announcement, the forum aimed to support knowledge exchange on entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises, while exploring ways to help businesses access regional and international markets.
The programme featured four sessions covering trade between Bahrain and Oman, Bahrain Exports’ programmes for supporting companies and preparing them for export, promising sectors and opportunities, and routes into international markets. Participants also discussed successful business experiences and import and export opportunities between the two countries.
Bahrain’s ambassador to Oman, Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi, said the forum was intended to strengthen economic and investment cooperation and encourage new partnerships between Bahraini and Omani entrepreneurs. The discussions also highlighted product development, marketing, e-commerce and market access as areas for further collaboration.
