Bahrain-based private markets platform Tanami has closed a new funding round backed by Tali Ventures, Qatar Development Bank, UK-based 1818 Ventures and strategic regional investors.

The company said the funding will support its expansion in Saudi Arabia and planned entry into Qatar, while strengthening the development of its digital investment platform.

Tanami began operations in Bahrain under the supervision of the Central Bank of Bahrain and recently expanded into Saudi Arabia after securing approval from the Capital Market Authority.

Its platform gives qualified investors digital access to private market opportunities across private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. Users can also monitor investments and manage their portfolios through the platform, in partnership with global asset management firms.

Founded in 2023 by Dr. Nawaf Al Maskati and Faisal Al Jalahma, Tanami aims to connect regional investors with private market opportunities managed by global investment institutions and asset managers.
