Careem has opened applications for Careem Builders ’26, a hackathon inviting developers and innovators residing in Jordan to build digital solutions that simplify everyday life through a super app.
Applications close on November 7, 2026. The hackathon will take place on November 22 in Amman, with participants able to apply individually or in teams of up to three. The 15 strongest teams will be selected to compete in person.
The event is held under the patronage of Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and powered by AWS. Participants will receive access to AWS prototype credits, free Kiro subscriptions, pre-hackathon training and Careem MCP, which connects projects to services including rides, food orders and grocery baskets.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams. Applicants can submit an idea, a short background and optional LinkedIn or GitHub details. AWS usage is optional.
