Andrea’s Data Kitchen uses real examples from UAE businesses, including tashas, Lucia Clinic and Refinery Beauty Lounge, to show small and medium-sized businesses how to turn everyday customer information into practical business improvements. The book combines business case studies, practical guidance and more than 80 hand-drawn illustrations.
Dubai-based AI entrepreneur and former Mastercard executive Andrea Prazakova has published Andrea’s Data Kitchen: The Business Owner’s Guide to Data Mastery, a guide designed to help small and medium-sized businesses understand and make better use of their data.
Published by Game Changer Publishing, the book was launched at a virtual event on October 27. It uses a cookbook concept to explain how businesses can approach data, treating information as ingredients, technology as utensils and business challenges as the starting point for individual recipes.
The book draws on examples from UAE businesses including tashas, Lucia Clinic, Refinery Beauty Lounge, Untapped and Baker’s Kitchen Dubai. It explores practical applications such as helping a salon retain clients’ hair colour formulas, enabling a bakery to remember repeat orders and allowing restaurant staff to recognise returning customers. Each example outlines the information a business needs, the tools involved and the steps required to put an idea into practice.
The guide also covers data privacy, customer consent and the importance of human judgement when using technology. It features more than 80 hand-drawn illustrations by Nick Walsh, alongside a foreword by Dr. Kate Barker, described in the announcement as the world’s first Chief Futurist. QR codes also link readers to companion podcast discussions created using Google NotebookLM.
Prazakova brings more than 30 years of experience in banking and payments, including senior leadership roles at Mastercard covering innovation and ESG. She is the founder of Zufa.ai and BrainGym, and co-founder of DAON.tech.
The book arrives as the UAE continues to encourage technology adoption among smaller businesses. SMEs account for 94% of companies in the country and contribute 63.5% of non-oil GDP, according to figures cited in the announcement.
Andrea’s Data Kitchen is available in paperback for AED 163, ebook and hardcover for AED 198 through the official book website.
