Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FedEx to accelerate the international growth of local businesses. The partnership aims to provide companies with enhanced logistics support, trade expertise, and global connectivity to simplify their expansion into new markets.
Quick Facts
- Partnership focuses on strengthening export readiness.
- Offers preferential logistics and customs advisory support.
- Supports Dubai’s D33 economic agenda.
Streamlining Cross-Border Trade for Dubai’s SMEs
The agreement is set to provide Dubai Chambers’ member companies—from SMEs to large enterprises—with a significant advantage in global trade. The collaboration will integrate FedEx’s vast transportation network and logistics knowledge with a series of tailored benefits.
Member companies will gain access to preferential logistics programs, streamlined onboarding processes, and dedicated customs advisory support. The initiative also includes trade facilitation services such as support for the ATA Carnet system, which allows for the temporary, tax-free, and duty-free export and import of goods. This is designed to help businesses move products more efficiently across borders and compete on a global scale.
A Strategic Push for Dubai’s D33 Agenda
This partnership directly supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy by 2033 and establish it as one of the world’s top three economic cities.
Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, commented on the agreement: “We are committed to developing a supportive environment for the expansion of companies in Dubai and strengthening their presence in regional and international markets. The cooperation with FedEx is an important step in supporting companies through advanced logistics solutions and services that improve export readiness and accelerate the delivery of their products and services to global markets.”
Nitin Tatiwala, Vice President of Marketing, Customer Experience and Air Network at FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa, added: “By combining our extensive global network, logistics expertise and digital capabilities with Dubai Chambers’ strong business ecosystem, we are helping companies simplify cross-border trade, strengthen their export readiness and confidently access new international opportunities. Together, we are enabling Dubai businesses to connect with the world and unlock sustainable growth.”
