Dubai Customs recorded AED 9.7 million in purchases and contracts with UAE suppliers in 2025, up 18% from AED 8.2 million a year earlier, according to the announcement.
The increase is part of the UAE Supplier Programme, managed by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises. The programme helps UAE companies access government, semi-government and private-sector buyers while providing guidance, training and support.
Dubai Customs said more than 18 suppliers benefited from its initiatives during 2025. These included priority in selected purchases, direct contracting under approved rules, exemptions from tender document and initial guarantee fees, and dedicated locations within the customs premises to display and sell products.
The department also encouraged main contractors to work with UAE suppliers and provided free promotional support through its platforms and those of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation.
In 2025, Dubai Customs worked with 27 UAE companies across 363 transactions, compared with 26 companies and 280 transactions in 2024. Across the wider UAE Supplier Programme, purchases and contracts exceeded AED 1.78 billion in 2025, involving more than 84 supporting entities and over 1,070 UAE businesses.
