Egypt has announced a new package of financial, investment and digital initiatives aimed at strengthening economic ties with its citizens living abroad.

Unveiled during the seventh Egyptians Abroad Conference, the measures include a US dollar pension program, expanded digital payments, banking data updates and new platforms for investment and government services.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates signed four cooperation protocols at the conference. An agreement with Misr Life Insurance will launch “Your Pension Tomorrow in Dollars,” enabling Egyptians abroad to build retirement savings in US dollars.

A separate partnership with Delta Egypt Payments’ Sahl platform will allow users to pay utility bills, financial obligations and government fees through its mobile application and digital platform.

The ministry also partnered with the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr on a banking data update initiative, sponsored by the Central Bank of Egypt, to simplify customer verification and access to banking services.

Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said the government plans to launch a dedicated investment fund for Egyptians abroad next year with major local and international investment banks. Authorities are also preparing a digital platform to help businesses establish operations and access investment incentives, tax and customs facilities.

The government is continuing to digitize consular and public services, including the use of AI and multilingual tools.
