Egypt’s Kuadra Scores New Funding to Launch Unified AI Platform for Construction Sector

3 Min Read

MENA-based construction-tech company Kuadra is set to launch the first unified AI-powered platform for Egypt’s construction sector, designed to manage the entire project lifecycle. The launch follows a recently closed funding round led by Edafa Venture, positioning the company to drive digital adoption in one of the country’s largest economic contributors.

Quick Facts

  • Launching a unified AI platform for contractors.
  • Automates procurement and project management.
  • Closed a new funding round led by Edafa Venture.

Automating an Underserved Sector

The construction sector is a massive contributor to Egypt’s GDP but remains one of the least digitized industries. According to Ahmed Salem, Founder and CEO of Kuadra, contractors rely on manual processes for critical tasks, creating significant bottlenecks.

“Contractors typically rely on specialized teams to manually review tender documents—often running to hundreds of pages—to identify technical specifications and project requirements,” Salem noted. “The process can take days or even weeks, delaying bid preparation and decision-making while increasing operating costs.”

Kuadra aims to solve this inefficiency by automating core functions that have long been resistant to technological change.

From Weeks to Hours

Kuadra’s platform uses AI to analyze complex tender documents, extract technical specifications, and generate structured executive summaries in hours, a task that traditionally takes days or weeks.

The system captures key project details like material specifications, dimensions, and brands, allowing contractors to accelerate procurement, improve bid accuracy, and minimize human error. Salem emphasized that the goal is to empower engineers, not replace them.

“By embedding the expertise of experienced professionals into AI-powered workflows, the platform enables younger engineers to complete technical tasks faster and more accurately,” he explained. This allows them to “devote more time to engineering analysis, design, and innovation instead of repetitive administrative work.”

Strategic Backing and Expansion Plans

The new investment from Edafa Venture is being treated as more than just capital. Salem described the investor as a “strategic partner that will support Kuadra’s commercial growth and technology development.”

With fresh funding, Kuadra is already looking at adjacent markets. The company plans to expand its technology into the oil and gas sector, where procurement and supply chain operations are similar to those in construction.

Kuadra is also in advanced discussions for a strategic partnership with one of Egypt’s five largest construction firms, a move that would significantly accelerate the platform’s deployment and market footprint.

About Kuadra
