Flat6Labs has opened applications for The Shift Innovation Challenge, a four-month program supporting 20 HealthTech startups in Egypt with business development, investment readiness and growth support.

The challenge is run in partnership with e& Egypt, e& Egypt Foundation and e& business Egypt, with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Norwegian Embassy. Flat6Labs will deliver the program.

Participants will receive training and mentorship from sector experts, along with support to refine their products, test market fit, improve their business models and prepare investor pitch decks. The program will combine virtual activities with in-person events and provide opportunities to connect with investors, entrepreneurs and other ecosystem stakeholders.

According to Flat6Labs, the top three teams will have the opportunity to receive funding from e&, although the amount has not been disclosed. Participants will also present their progress at a Showcase Day before investors, entrepreneurs and program partners.

The challenge covers digital health, artificial intelligence in healthcare, mental health and wellbeing, reproductive and maternal health, women’s health, sports technology, and broader health and wellness solutions.

Applicants must be legally registered, address a real market need and have an eligible founding team. Between two and three team members must participate, while at least one founder must be based in the program city during intensive training and final pitch preparation. The company must also show a commitment to building a long-term presence in Egypt.
