Gaza Sky Geeks has launched PCPC for Girls, the Palestinian Collegiate Programming Contest’s first edition for female university students in Palestine, bringing together around 50 participants on 5 September 2026.

The participants took part in competitive programming and problem-solving challenges designed to test logic, creativity and decision-making under pressure, according to the announcement.

The event also focused on community-building, giving participants an opportunity to exchange knowledge, build confidence and connect with other women pursuing careers in technology.

Gaza Sky Geeks said it has spent more than 15 years creating pathways for women in tech through training, skills development, events and other programs. Female participation in many of its programs has exceeded 50% in recent years, the organisation added.

The tech hub is now seeking mentors who can help female talent access expertise, networks and resources. It also called for support to continue developing opportunities for young Palestinian women in technology.
