The House of Representatives’ Committee for Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises is preparing to review measures aimed at supporting entrepreneurs during the current legislative session, with licensing, access to finance, startup support and the formalisation of the informal economy among its priorities.

According to the report, the committee will monitor how the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises Development Law is being implemented and identify obstacles businesses face when dealing with government agencies. The goal is to reduce the time and cost required to launch and operate businesses.

The committee also plans to examine financing tools suited to small and micro enterprises, while exploring ways to help startups move from ideas to implementation and expansion.

Its agenda includes improving the participation of smaller businesses in production chains and connecting them with larger companies, factories and markets. The committee is also expected to review relevant legislation and decisions, hear directly from business owners and use parliamentary tools to address challenges requiring legislative or executive action.
