Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched the third edition of its Saudi Game Pioneers program in partnership with the National Technology Development Program (NTDP).
Run by the ministry’s CODE Digital Entrepreneurship Center, the six-month program will take place in Riyadh. It is designed to help local talent turn game concepts into playable prototypes and early-stage projects through mentoring, development support and practical training.
The program is open to developers, designers, entrepreneurs and others interested in game development. Participants will work in teams, exchange expertise and build skills across the game creation process, from shaping an idea to producing a playable experience, according to the announcement.
The program will also include a three-day Game Jam in Riyadh, where participants will develop game prototypes in teams in an intensive setting focused on creativity, collaboration and technical innovation.
The ministry said the third edition aims to strengthen the readiness of Saudi talent to contribute to the games industry and support the growth of the country’s digital entrepreneurship ecosystem and creative industries.
