MoIAT Honors 20 Champions Driving AED 473 Billion into the UAE National Economy

The UAE’s Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) recognized 20 companies and individuals for their significant contributions to the national In-Country Value (ICV) Program. The awards ceremony, a key event at the Make it in the Emirates forum, celebrated the initiative’s success in redirecting AED 473 billion into the local economy to date.

Public-Private Push Strengthens Supply Chains

The awards, presented on the second day of the forum, highlight the growing success of public-private collaboration in bolstering the UAE’s industrial sector. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Undersecretary of MoIAT, and other senior officials.

“The ICV Program is a key driver in transforming industrial demand into real growth opportunities for manufacturers in the UAE, redirecting spending into the national economy and strengthening supply chain integration,” Al Nowais stated. He emphasized that Emiratization is a vital investment in human capital that boosts the country’s overall competitiveness.

Industry Giants and Government Bodies Recognized

Awards were presented across six categories, including manufacturing, service providers, and best Emiratization program.

Key government entities like the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization were honored for their roles in strengthening policies that support local content and national talent. Corporate giants including ADNOC, Emirates Global Aluminium, and e& were also recognized for their commitment to the ICV program and its standards.

Other honored organizations included the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company, Aquachemie Chemicals Trading, Union Cement Company, and Deloitte & Touche (Middle East).

Individuals Driving National Impact

Several individuals were spotlighted for their direct impact on the program’s goals. Abdulrahman Hassan of ADNOC was recognized for facilitating over 4,200 job opportunities through the Industrialists career program.

Dr. Mariam Galadari of Global Pharma was honored for her foundational work in building the UAE’s pharmaceutical regulatory framework. Other individuals awarded for their exceptional contributions included Fatima Al Najjar (Nafis), Ravee R. Valia (Aldar Properties), Saeed Al Zarouni (e&), Alia Al Shamsi (Ministry of Finance), Bushra Awad (Mubadala), and Ahmed Al Alawi (Abu Dhabi Investment Office).

The National In-Country Value (ICV) Program is a UAE government initiative led by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
