Morocco has partnered with Vertiv to support the development of its digital infrastructure and expand the country’s data center capabilities, according to the announcement.
The collaboration will focus on power, cooling and data center technologies designed to improve the resilience, efficiency and sustainability of digital infrastructure. The initiative is intended to support rising demand for cloud computing, enterprise workloads and artificial intelligence applications.
The partnership aligns with Morocco’s strategy to attract technology investment and strengthen its position as a gateway for digital services connecting Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Expanded data center capacity is also expected to support digital transformation, entrepreneurship, modernized public services and the deployment of emerging technologies.
Energy efficiency is a key part of the effort, with modern data centers increasingly relying on advanced cooling, intelligent power management and automation to handle demanding AI and high-performance computing workloads.
The collaboration reflects the growing role of public-private partnerships in building secure, scalable and reliable digital infrastructure. For Morocco, stronger data center capabilities could help support its ambitions to become a regional technology and digital services hub.
