The New Economy Academy has partnered with Dubai Islamic to launch a financial literacy program for entrepreneurs and small business owners in the UAE.
The initiative will train more than 500 entrepreneurs across two cohorts, providing practical guidance on financial management, digital tools and resource planning. It forms part of the academy’s Entrepreneurship Program, which aims to train 10,000 UAE citizens over five years.
The program covers four areas: financial planning, financial behaviours, artificial intelligence for business growth, and investment and future planning. Participants will learn how to prepare budgets, manage expenses and cash flow, improve resource use, apply AI to financial analysis and reporting, and prepare their businesses for funding and expansion.
The partnership follows an agreement signed by New Economy Academy CEO Laila Freidoon and Dubai Islamic’s head of commercial banking, Saud Al Jassem, at the academy’s Dubai headquarters.
Freidoon said the initiative will help strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of small and medium-sized businesses by giving entrepreneurs modern financial and technology skills. Al Jassem said the bank’s support extends beyond banking solutions to initiatives that improve financial awareness, long-term stability and readiness among UAE businesses.
The program aligns with the UAE’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2026-2030, according to the announcement.
