Palestinian Startups Seek Investment and Global Partnerships in Silicon Valley

A Palestinian tech delegation used a week-long Silicon Valley mission to pursue investment, commercial partnerships and global expansion opportunities for the country’s startups.

Organized by the World Bank’s TechStart project, the mid-September mission included representatives from Palestine Techno Park, Ibtikar Fund, DAI and nine startups supported by the World Bank’s IPSD II initiative. The group met with Google, Apple, NVIDIA, Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, Broadcom and Plug and Play, and presented the Palestinian tech ecosystem at TechWadi’s annual forum.

Discussions focused on practical opportunities including talent pipelines, developer certification, outsourcing pilots and startup program access. Several participants said the meetings helped advance investor conversations and sharpened their approach to international expansion.

According to the announcement, TechStart and IPSD II have together mobilized more than $62 million in private capital for the Palestinian tech ecosystem. The projects are now following up on potential pilots, partnerships and investments raised during the mission. Conversations also highlighted the Gulf as a possible route to global markets through regional investment, data centers and strategic partnerships.

The delegation’s message was commercial rather than charitable: Palestinian startups are seeking contracts, investment and access to platforms that can help them scale. The World Bank said the mission helped shift discussions among technology companies and investors toward talent, outsourcing and global growth, although the next stage will depend on turning those conversations into concrete deals.
