Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has opened applications for Innovate Hackathon 2026, a two-day challenge focused on improving local supplier discovery and spending across its portfolio companies.

Held on 9–10 September 2026 at the Digital Saudi Innovation Hub in Riyadh, the hackathon is being organised in partnership with the Digital Government Authority and Tuwaiq Academy. Participants will compete across two tracks detailed in the application form.

The challenge is to build a dynamic solution that helps companies discover local capabilities, raw materials and qualified suppliers, enabling more informed and localised procurement decisions.

University students and graduates, developers, data analysts, AI specialists, startups, founders, supply-chain experts and procurement and operations teams from PIF portfolio companies can participate. Entries will be assessed on impact, novelty, feasibility, scalability, sustainability and use of emerging technologies.

Applications close on 27 August 2026. Selected teams will be announced on 1 September, with participation confirmation due on 3 September and mentoring and technical workshops scheduled for 6 September.

According to PIF, winning solutions may be considered for adoption across its portfolio. Participants will also receive access to PIF specialists, expert mentorship and national recognition.
