Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) and TotalEnergies have concluded the QSTP × TotalEnergies Water Technologies Accelerator with a final showcase in Doha.

The programme involved 11 water technology startups in its growth phase. During an in-person week in Doha, the founders connected with Qatar’s water, research and innovation ecosystem and explored potential pilot projects and partnerships.

The participating startups are developing solutions for producing drinking water from atmospheric humidity, recovering water and valuable resources from industrial brines, reducing water loss and monitoring water quality.

The programme included visits to the Water Center at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute, TotalEnergies’ offices and Msheireb, where founders learned about smart-city infrastructure. They also met representatives from Earthna, Kahramaa and Ashghal to discuss Qatar’s water-sector priorities.

The final showcase brought the startups together with industry leaders, investors and innovation stakeholders. Founders presented their technologies and discussed practical applications with TotalEnergies.

According to QSTP, the programme will continue with an immersion week in Morocco from November 16 to 18, creating further opportunities for regional collaboration across West Asia and North Africa.
