Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Economic Development has named Essicia Perfumes the winner of its Little Promising Entrepreneur 2026 programme after a five-week training and practical business journey.
The programme included 13 workshops covering entrepreneurship, idea development, marketing, pricing, project management and brand building. Participants then applied those skills to develop and market 27 locally made products.
A six-member evaluation committee assessed the projects on criteria including the business idea, product quality, marketing, presentation, pricing, teamwork, community feedback, attendance and sales.
The winning team received a financial prize for achieving the highest evaluation score. The department also granted 18 participants fee-exempt home business licences valid for three years, allowing them to continue developing their products as commercial ventures.
Aisha Obaid Al Ayan, director of business development at the department, said the programme was designed to move beyond theory by giving participants experience in product development, project management and direct interaction with customers at an entrepreneurship exhibition.
According to the department, the initiative supports entrepreneurship education among younger generations and helps participants turn business ideas into viable projects in Ras Al Khaimah.
