UNRWA’s Innovation Lab at the Siblin Training Centre in Lebanon has announced new training cohorts for young people aged 18 to 28, covering social entrepreneurship, employability and life skills. The programs are offered at the Nawaya Innovation Lab on the centre’s South Campus, with online registration available.
The social entrepreneurship track will run for five to 11 days and serve 90 participants. It includes five days of creative thinking followed by six days of financial training for participants whose project ideas are considered viable. Applicants must have an initial project idea. According to the announcement, winning projects will receive mentoring, while those meeting the assessment criteria may receive funding to support implementation.
The employability program will serve 100 participants through workshops on writing professional CVs, preparing for job interviews, creating LinkedIn profiles and searching for job opportunities. Workshop durations will vary by topic.
A third track will offer three days of life-skills and positive-leadership training for 100 young people, focusing on self-awareness, personal responsibility, decision-making and building positive relationships.
