Saudi Arabia saw around 47,000 companies established during the first half of 2026, according to the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center, pointing to continued activity in the Kingdom’s business and investment market.
The center said it delivered 2.9 million services to economic establishments during the period. These included registering about 87,000 establishments and documenting 3,490 e-commerce stores.
Its service network now spans 21 branches across 16 major cities. Through its branches and Business Platform, the center provides around 4,800 services integrated with 80 government entities, covering company formation, licensing, renewals, amendments, establishment files, and zakat and tax filings.
The center said the reforms supporting this integrated model have helped improve the business environment and reduce the complexity of government procedures. Saudi Arabia ranked 13th globally and third among G20 countries in the 2026 World Competitiveness Yearbook from the International Institute for Management Development, following the implementation of more than 1,000 legislative, procedural and technical reforms.
The center said it will continue providing business-sector data and working with private-sector companies and relevant authorities to address challenges and develop the Kingdom’s business environment.
