HUMAIN, a company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced a major partnership to lead the entry of NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion robotaxi-ready platform into the Middle East. The collaboration aims to develop and deploy Level 4 autonomous transportation solutions in Saudi Arabia and the wider region, signaling a significant push into AI-driven mobility.
Quick Facts
- HUMAIN to deploy NVIDIA’s Level 4 robotaxi platform.
- Building AI factories with up to 500 megawatts capacity.
- Initial phase includes an 18,000-GPU NVIDIA supercomputer.
Building the AI Backbone for Autonomous Fleets
The partnership is backed by a massive infrastructure investment. HUMAIN plans to build AI factories with a projected capacity of up to 500 megawatts and will deploy several hundred thousand NVIDIA GPUs over the next five years.
An initial phase is already in motion, featuring an 18,000-GPU NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell supercomputer. This powerful setup will establish the sovereign compute foundation required for large-scale autonomous vehicle training, simulation, and fleet validation within the Kingdom.
“Autonomous mobility will become one of the defining AI platforms of the next decade,” said Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN. “By working with NVIDIA, HUMAIN is helping enable the infrastructure, intelligence, and operational scale needed to develop and support the future of Level 4-ready transportation in Saudi Arabia.”
Driving Level 4 Autonomy in the Kingdom
NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion is a comprehensive platform that combines high-performance in-vehicle compute, a safety-certified operating system, a multimodal sensor suite, and specialized AV software for highly automated driving. It provides automakers and mobility providers with a common foundation to scale robotaxi fleets.
“Autonomous mobility is entering its industrial scaling moment,” said Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Vehicles are becoming robots, and robotaxi fleets will require AI infrastructure that can perceive, reason, and operate safely in the real world.”
This collaboration unites automakers, AV software partners, and ride-hailing providers to expand Level 4-ready fleets from pilot programs to everyday transportation, marking a key step in Saudi Arabia’s strategy to become a global leader in AI-driven infrastructure.
