Scale AI has launched a UAE entity registered at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), marking the San Francisco-based AI company’s third Gulf operation in under two years.
Registered in June as Scale AI ME Limited, the Dubai operation includes more than 30 employees. The company’s regional workforce now exceeds 130 staff across the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, according to the announcement.
Scale AI provides training data, model evaluations, red-teaming and AI systems for enterprises and governments. In Qatar, the company says it has trained or upskilled nearly 6,000 people, while applications developed under a five-year Ministry of Information and Communications Technology agreement are now used by the public. The deal covers more than 50 government AI applications.
Scale AI is also exploring agentic AI applications for government and enterprise customers in the UAE and other markets through a memorandum of understanding with Presight. The companies will examine evaluation frameworks and simulation tools for testing AI agents before deployment.
Last year, Scale AI signed a separate agreement with Inception42, another G42 company, covering enterprise AI solutions and industry-specific evaluation datasets. Scale AI’s valuation exceeds $29B following a $14.3B investment from Meta for a 49% stake.
