stc group completed its third consecutive year as a Founding and Elite Partner of the Esports World Cup (EWC), supporting the tournament as it moved from Riyadh to Paris for its first edition outside Saudi Arabia.
According to the announcement, EWC 2026 brought together more than 2,000 professional players and 200 clubs from over 100 countries. Competitors took part in 25 tournaments across 24 game titles, with a prize pool exceeding $75 million.
stc hosted competitions including VALORANT, League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League and EA FC 26 at its arena. Its Warriors Cup also gave amateur players a route into organized competition, with more than 10,000 participants competing across over 200 tournaments in 16 games.
The company extended the event’s reach through a dedicated EWC channel on stc tv, which launched on July 5 and recorded more than three million plays by August 23. The channel offered 10 to 12 hours of daily coverage, including live matches, highlights and analysis.
The partnership began with EWC’s launch in Riyadh in 2024 and has expanded across connectivity, broadcasting and competition support as the tournament has built an international audience.
