The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) recently hosted its Student Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, presenting nearly 100 student-led projects aimed at solving real-world challenges. The event brought together students, faculty, and key industry players to highlight emerging talent in Qatar’s tech and business sectors.

Bridging Academia and Industry
The conference served as a platform for students to present graduation projects, master’s research, and ventures funded by the Qatar National Research Fund’s Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP). Many of these projects, spanning sectors like energy, sustainability, technology, and business, were developed directly with industry partners.
Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al-Naemi, President of UDST, emphasized the university’s commitment to practical, industry-relevant education.
“Events like this reflect the core of our mission to provide industry-linked, applied education that develops student potential into real-world impact,” Al-Naemi stated. “By bringing innovation, scientific research, and entrepreneurship together, we are not only showcasing the excellence of our students and faculty but also strengthening the bridge between academia and industry.”
