Vodafone Egypt has highlighted more than EGP 125 billion invested in the country since 1998, as it positions connectivity, cloud, data centers and cybersecurity as core infrastructure for Egypt’s digital economy.
The company said it plans to invest more than EGP 20 billion during the current fiscal year. The spending will support network modernization, artificial intelligence in operations, cybersecurity and the reliability of everyday digital services.
Vodafone Egypt said its infrastructure is designed to handle demand beyond routine usage, including seasonal pressure on coastal areas during the summer. The company described its network planning as a long-term effort to expand capacity before demand peaks.
The operator also pointed to results from independent testing firm umlaut. According to the announcement, Vodafone Egypt was named Egypt’s best mobile network for the fourth consecutive year and best fixed network for the third year. It also ranked first across every mobile category measured by umlaut for the first time.
The company said the results reflect improvements in call reliability, application speeds and service continuity. Its broader argument is that connectivity is no longer an endpoint, but the foundation required for businesses, government services and emerging technologies such as AI to operate effectively.
