From Idea to Enterprise: Equipping Jordan’s Youth
The program was developed to provide young participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to transform their business concepts into operational ventures. The core objective is to promote a culture of self-employment and generate new job opportunities within the local community.
Nayef Stetieh, former Minister of Labor and founder of the BDC, stated that the center is working to train the largest possible number of young people across all governorates and municipalities. He emphasized the importance of self-employment and guiding youth toward launching their own businesses, which aligns with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision and the directives of the King and Crown Prince.
Building Financial Acumen for Sustainable Growth
Beyond foundational business skills, the training provided participants with advanced financial tools and management skills. The curriculum covered key financial statements and their practical application, enabling the aspiring founders to make informed financial decisions crucial for the success and sustained growth of their future projects.
What’s Next: Equipment and Funding for Top Projects
Following the training, participants will move to the next phase, where they can submit formal proposals for their business projects. A selection of the most promising ventures will receive direct support in the form of necessary equipment and tools. This step is designed to provide a tangible boost to their economic empowerment, create new jobs in the Irbid governorate, and deliver services that meet local community needs.
