Over 360 Firms Join Dubai-Oman Talks to Strengthen Regional Supply Chains

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Al Batinah North branch recently hosted a high-level dialogue session, bringing together more than 360 private sector representatives to bolster logistics cooperation and streamline trade flows between Dubai and Oman.

Deepening Bilateral Trade and Logistics

The event was led by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Saeed Bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Al Batinah North branch. The discussions centered on new business opportunities and practical mechanisms to enhance cooperation in the face of evolving global supply chain disruptions.

Key Omani stakeholders, including representatives from SOHAR Port, Oman Logistics Center, Al Madina Logistics, and the Directorate General of Customs of the Royal Oman Police, participated alongside various transport and freight companies. They were joined by a diverse group of Dubai-based firms, reflecting a broad interest in strengthening cross-border trade.

Building on Strategic Visits

This session is part of a sustained effort by Dubai Chambers to improve trade resilience with Oman. Earlier in the month, a delegation from Dubai Chambers visited Sohar, meeting with the local chamber to identify high-value opportunities in priority sectors.

During the visit, the delegation toured SOHAR Port and the Sohar Industrial City (Madayn), where talks highlighted the need to improve the movement of goods, boost supply chain efficiency, and achieve deeper logistics integration between the key commercial hubs of Dubai and Sohar. These initiatives underscore a strategic push to create more robust and efficient trade corridors within the GCC.
