The two-day event is set to connect business owners and founders with a curated network of over 60 essential service providers, focusing on operational needs rather than traditional startup pitch competitions.
Quick Facts
- Event: LaunchPad Expo, Edition 2
- Attendees: 3,000+ founders and decision-makers
- Exhibitors: Over 60 B2B service providers
- Location: The GrEEK Campus, Downtown Cairo
Bridging a Critical Ecosystem Gap
While Egypt’s startup scene continues to grow, many founders find access to reliable service providers to be fragmented and costly. LaunchPad Expo is designed to directly address this challenge by focusing on the practical, day-to-day decisions businesses face, from choosing payment infrastructure and legal advisors to finding the right cloud systems or marketing support.
“Egyptian SMEs do not lack ambition. What many of them lack is efficient access to the right partners at the right stage of growth,” said Ahmed Elgarem, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at The Strategic Co. “We built LaunchPad Expo around that gap. Our mission is to bring the ecosystem into one place in a way that creates real business outcomes, not just visibility.”
From Foundations to Growth
The expo’s content platform, LaunchPad Talks, will feature a two-day program built around key operational challenges. Friday’s sessions, titled ‘Building Your Business on the Right Foundations,’ will cover legal structuring, recruitment, finance, and product development.
Saturday’s track, ‘Growing Better Businesses,’ will shift focus to sales fundamentals, calculating AI ROI, talent retention, investor readiness, and strategies for organic demand generation.
Reflecting a Maturing Market
The event’s growth from its first edition—which saw over 3,000 visitors and 52 exhibitors—signals a maturing SME services market in Egypt. The second edition is powered by Unlock and features an expanded network of prominent partners, including Paymob, Wuzzuf, Recruitera, Aman Holding, Amenli, Invia, and Almentor Business.
“Egypt’s SME sector represents about 75%-80% of private sector employment… What we’re seeing now is the gradual maturation of the SME services market itself,” explained Karim Saber, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at The Strategic Co. “The growth of LaunchPad Expo from Edition 1 to Edition 2 reflects a broader market shift toward a more connected SME support ecosystem.”
