BCTS has launched the first cycle of its EmpoweerNEET training programme in Lebanon, bringing 50 young people and women who are not in employment, education or training into the programme’s implementation phase.
The participants will take part over the coming months in a blended learning programme combining online and in-person training, mentoring and practical learning activities. The programme began with an online orientation session on July 8, 2026, followed by its first in-person session on July 9 at Padova Hotel in Sin El Fil.
The opening eight-day course focuses on employability and professional readiness. It covers professional identity, self-assessment, career planning and CV development through workshops, practical exercises, group discussions and case studies.
According to the announcement, EmpoweerNEET includes five interconnected eight-day courses. Alongside employability, the programme will address social entrepreneurship, business planning, financial literacy, digital skills, leadership and career transition pathways. Mentoring sessions, bootcamps and practical learning labs will support the training.
The initiative brings together partners from Lebanon, Palestine, Spain, Greece, Tunisia and France. It is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED programme and aims to support social inclusion, economic participation, employability and social entrepreneurship among young people across the Mediterranean.
