Telr has partnered with Dubai-based payments technology company CreditPool to launch Telr Multi-Card Payments, a service that lets shoppers split one purchase across multiple cards when a single card cannot cover the full amount.
Available through Telr payment pages, the feature is designed to address declines caused by insufficient funds or individual card limits. Customers can choose how much to charge to each card and combine rewards from different cards.
According to Telr, the service could help merchants recover failed transactions, increase average order values and reduce cart abandonment. Telr founder and CEO Khalil Alami said the offering aims to turn payment declines linked to insufficient funds into approvals.
The new service differs from Telr’s existing Split Payments product, which distributes funds from one customer payment to multiple recipients, such as suppliers and marketplace vendors.
CreditPool co-founder and CEO Rafik Ibrahim said the technology is intended to give shoppers more flexibility while helping merchants capture additional revenue. Telr operates under a Retail Payment Services license from the Central Bank of the UAE, secured in March 2025.
