The Blockchain Game Alliance, Deloitte and Dubai free zone DMCC have launched the AI & Agentics Council, a new body focused on standards for AI agents that can hold digital wallets and execute transactions without direct user confirmation.
The council operates as a department within the Blockchain Game Alliance and has six founding partners: BGA, Deloitte, DMCC, Xsolla, SKALE, The Sandbox and WAM. BGA, which has been active in blockchain gaming for eight years, has around 350 members.
Its work will focus on four areas: governed autonomy, human accountability, infrastructure that is not tied to a specific AI model, and economies where agents can participate alongside players.
The initiative addresses a key obstacle for gaming and web3 investors: determining who is responsible when an autonomous agent makes a financial decision or executes a transaction. According to the announcement, clearer and interoperable standards could help attract institutional capital and larger industry partners.
DMCC brings a Dubai-based regulatory and business environment to the effort, while the other founding partners contribute expertise in payments, blockchain infrastructure, virtual economies, audit and assurance, and competitive gaming. The council follows a BGA report published in April on agentic AI, gaming economies and the legal and operational challenges surrounding the technology.
