Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has launched a Bachelor of Science in Design and Artificial Intelligence, combining design studio work with computing, mathematics and AI.
The new degree covers visualisation, interaction design, human-computer interaction, programming, computational methods and AI-enabled design processes. Students will apply these skills across spatial, product and service design.
According to the announcement, the programme is designed to prepare graduates for work on intelligent products, responsive environments, interactive experiences and digital services. Its curriculum also includes design studios, internships and industry projects, alongside sustainability, entrepreneurship, research and community engagement.
The programme places emphasis on human-centred and data-informed design, as well as the ethical, social, cultural and environmental implications of using AI. CUD said the degree is intended to address demand for professionals who can combine design thinking with computational and AI capabilities.
The BSc in Design and Artificial Intelligence is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and follows CUD’s Canadian curriculum model. Applications are open for entry in Fall 2026.
