Jordan’s information and communications technology sector has grown into a $3.6 billion industry employing more than 46,000 people, according to figures presented during the 25th anniversary of the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j).

The association, which represents 316 companies, said Jordanian startups have attracted an estimated $250 million through more than 14 investment funds. The sector has also become a key contributor to investment, exports, high-skilled employment and public-sector digital transformation.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat said ICT is central to Jordan’s economic modernisation, while the National Council for Future Technology is intended to connect government, businesses, universities and Jordanian expertise around new technology projects and opportunities.

During the anniversary event, int@j Chairman Fadi Qutaishat announced the launch of The REACH Forum, a new identity and extension of the MENA ICT Forum. Aqaba is scheduled to host the event in April 2027 at the Aqaba International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The association also introduced a digital yearbook documenting its history and a platform for searching and classifying ICT companies by activity and location. It plans to hold a specialised artificial intelligence event in November focused on moving from AI adoption to measurable impact, as well as digital sovereignty, skills and inclusive growth.
