Oraseya Capital, the investment arm of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, has signed a memorandum of understanding with NQubator to build a more structured pathway from startup incubation to investment in the UAE.
Under the agreement, NQubator will refer selected companies from its incubation, venture-building and wider ecosystem programmes to Oraseya Capital for assessment. The startups are expected to have completed validation processes focused on commercial readiness and scalability, after which Oraseya will review them under its investment strategy and due diligence framework.
Oraseya Capital will also take part in mentorship, advisory activities, demo days and evaluation panels within NQubator’s ecosystem. Hassan Waheed, executive vice president of finance at DIEZ and a partner at Oraseya Capital, said the partnership would allow the investor to engage with technology startups earlier and help strengthen their investment readiness.
The MoU also creates a framework for potential co-investments. NQubator or affiliated investment partners may invest alongside Oraseya Capital in selected funding rounds, although the agreement does not commit either party to specific amounts or transactions.
The partnership supports Dubai’s wider effort under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to strengthen its digital economy and advanced technology sectors.
