The Economic Council for Businesswomen at the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce held its latest meeting to discuss financing, business development and innovation opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the Egyptian city.
Chaired by Reem Siam, the meeting brought together businesswomen and representatives from Banque Misr, who presented banking products and services designed to support businesses and their expansion plans.
Dalia El Badry also outlined services and opportunities related to business development and women’s economic empowerment.
The council reviewed icealex as an innovation platform and entrepreneurship hub in Alexandria. According to the announcement, the platform supports startups and entrepreneurs through incubators, accelerators, coworking spaces, the FabLab digital manufacturing facility, and programs focused on innovation and local and environmental challenges.
The meeting also highlighted the potential of green and sustainable projects, with Siam calling for greater awareness among businesswomen of opportunities linked to the green economy. She said the council would continue focusing on finance, innovation and entrepreneurship as key areas for strengthening business growth and sustainability.
