Moroccan e-health startup One Med Link is developing an AI-powered platform to improve clinical workflows, healthcare data interoperability and medical research across Africa.
Founded by Deyaa Wahbi and Soukaina Benabid, the startup has attracted more than 200 healthcare professional users and nearly 50 research users. Its platform is designed to work alongside existing hospital information systems and electronic medical records, rather than replace them.
The technology supports clinical documentation, medical summaries, structured patient information, clinical scores, decision-support tools, prescription processes and dashboards. It is also designed to convert unstructured medical information into reusable data, with interoperability built around the FHIR standard.
One Med Link is preparing an institutional deployment in the emergency department of a new hospital in Rabat. The company said it plans to measure the platform’s impact through indicators including documentation time, record completeness, workflow efficiency and clinician adoption.
The startup is preparing its first external fundraising round after initially being self-funded and receiving support through accelerator programmes. No target amount, valuation or timetable has been disclosed. According to the company, funding would support product development, institutional deployments and future expansion across Africa.
One Med Link plans to establish its base in Morocco before expanding into the wider Maghreb, North Africa and selected French-speaking African markets.
